This Mindful Movement class combines verbally guided mindful movement and mindfulness meditation. It is basically mindfulness with the benefits of exercise.
Mindful movement is based on slow and gentle movement while paying attention to your breathing and sensations. It can help you to reconnect better with yourself, reset the mind body relationship, ease muscular tension and stress, rebalance the nervous system, improve breathing, body awareness, flexibility posture, action, attention and enhance the quality of your sleep. Learning about your movement habits can lead to better movement choices, so that you can move with less effort and more ease in everyday life.
You will also have the opportunity practice some short mindfulness meditations to cultivate mental clarity, presence and self compassion. You will have the possibility to take away and recreate the relaxed, grounded and alive feelings experienced in the class. Staff will love it as it gives them the tools to understand how to slow down and be more effective in their work.
